Introduction

We are pleased to be able to provide quality outdoor cushions for many of our outdoor seating products  (all products which have a cushion available are indicated on the individual product information page).  Our cushions are all custom-made to fit the pieces of furniture they were designed for.  Ties and snaps are provided to secure the cushions to the furniture.

"Buy Now" buttons are provided for the two most popular colors requested  (Forest Green and Navy Blue).  Any additional colors that are available are listed on the individual product information page for each cushion.  For now, you must order these other colors by phone.

Sunbrella®

We use Sunbrella® acrylic fabric for the outer shell of our cushions.  Sunbrella® is a well-known and respected name in exterior application fabrics.  The fibers are 100% solution dyed acrylic, which means that the color is there to stay.  As proof, Sunbrella® extends a full 3 year warranty that covers the fabric becoming unserviceable because of loss of color or strength from normal exposure conditions, including sunlight, mildew, rot, and atmospheric chemicals.

Care and Maintenance

Sunbrella® features a soil and stain-resistant finish, so it is very easy to keep clean.  One of the best ways to keep your cushions looking good and to delay the need for deep or vigorous cleaning is to hose them off once a month with clear water.  This will help keep dirt from becoming deeply embedded in the fabric and put off the time when a more thorough cleaning is required.  A thorough cleaning might be needed every two to three years.

Spot wash by sponging briskly with a soapy solution of natural soap (not detergent) in lukewarm water.  Rinse thoroughly with clear water to remove all soap residue.  Let the cushion air dry.  For stubborn stains, such as suntan lotion, use a fabric spot remover, following the instructions on the container closely  (test on an inconspicuous area first).

Sunbrella® solution dyed fabrics do not promote mildew growth.  However, mildew may grow on dirt or other foreign substances that are not removed from the fabric.  To remove mildew stains, prepare a mild solution of one part bleach plus two caps full of a natural soap per gallon of water.  Spray on entire area and allow to soak in.  If necessary, scrub vigorously with a sponge or clean cloth.  Sponge thoroughly with clean water, and let air dry.

When cleaning your cushions, it is important to observe the following:

• Always use a natural soap product — never a detergent.
• Water should be cold to lukewarm — never more than 100°F
• Air dry only — never apply heat.

After a thorough cleaning (done every 2-3 years), your exterior cushions should be treated to re-establish water repellency.  Sunbrella® fabrics are treated with fluorocarbon-based water repellency chemicals during manufacturing, and it is recommended that a fluorocarbon product be used for retreatment, such as Apco, Uniseal, or Sunseal.
